Let's take it from the top

(note that most of my family does observe Halloween, I did get it, but most of my social circles were overall against it. the homeschool groups did annual saint dress-ups and celebrated All Saints’ Day instead of any halloween decor or costumes, and a lot of the religious families are against Halloween big time these days. Even my own family had strong rules about allowed topics, themes, costumes, and characters still)

I AM FREE TO FULLY ENJOY HALLOWEEN AND AUTUMN NOW AND EVEN POST THINGS ON SOCIAL MEDIA IF I WANT, WHAT’S MY FAMILY GONNA DO, BE ASHAMED OF ME AND AFRAID FOR MY SOUL HALFWAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY ABOUT IT? NOT MY PROBLEM 👏👏👏

if you make me see children dressed up for All Saints’ Day every year as martyrs with evidence of their own grisly tortures and murders, I’m gonna make you see me enjoying pumpkins and pretend ghosts and WITCHES AND SKELETONS OH NO THE HORROR. and that’s that on that.

(I’m gonna be insufferable about this for at least a few years I think)
