Let's take it from the top

I was just listening to another video from The Bulwark and I really appreciate them but I do not understand how they expected there to be a slower roll than this or for the “checks and balances” to actually, consistently work.

The people on the far right and in the religious conservative voting blocs spent decades getting many many many many judicial seats, and training their kids for them, and you see it happening in real time now and you still think that it’s not mostly bought and sold? You think they haven’t thought this through decades ago?

Tim was literally in major conservative campaigns and he seems to still not grasp the grassroots bottom-up plan that the right executed for decades and at this point I don’t trust anyone to understand how much the rule of law Will Not Always Matter from now on. If ONLY for the reason that even if a court does rule “hey no stop you can’t do that”, it requires them to actually listen and stop, and also it’s assuming that the time from doing something -> judge says they can’t do it wasn’t already enough for the downstream damage in that area to be done.

I kind of am ready to stop checking in on any discussions about any of this at all. Like they planned this for decades, long before Project 2025. They said ALL OF THIS out loud. For YEARS.

Look at the evangelical political discussions and plans. Look at the IBLP trainings. Look at Bob Jones and the other conservative thinktank training universities. Look at Opus Dei’s influence in government and universities and business sectors in the US. On and on and on I could go. How are people whose jobs it was to know this and plan for it and deal with it continually surprised
