Let's take it from the top

I am begging people to look at how much they’ve already completed from Project 2025 in under half a year, look at the current situation with Republicans in Congress refusing to stop or alter pretty much anything, look at the Democrats being basically impotent in every area bc of their low numbers (and lack of cooperation and organizing), look at the judges around the country and what’s being done to them with threats or legal challenges, look at the Supreme Court over the past few years, and look at the timeline of what happened in places like Nazi Germany and modern Hungary, and tell me I’m crazy one more time.

(Also. Project 2025 isn’t the end goal. They haven’t publicly published the part two. Anyone who grew up in conservative or fundie/evangelical circles can tell you exactly how far the groups steering this current administration truly plan to go.)

I don’t know what else I can do anymore to try to get people to realize how dangerous the moment we’re in is. Trump DOES want a second term. They DO want to cut what they say they want to cut. They HAVE been committing heinous security breaches. They DO want to prosecute, silence, and get rid of any non-cooperative “enemy” groups (Democrats, non-white immigrants, POC, queer people, disabled people, librarians, etc.) that they’ve hated for decades.

THEY MEAN IT. THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING TO DO IT. This is the only moment we have to slow or stall things enough that we have a chance of him not succeeding in getting a third term. They learned from the first one—don’t have competent people. Don’t have people who care about the law and about a functional service or government. Those were the people who stalled things or refused to go all the way in his first term. They don’t have them in their circles anymore. They learned. They planned for four years while the Democrats didn’t.

This is our LAST CHANCE to avoid the worst of it. Before there was 1939, there was 1922. We have to defend our institutions ourselves. We have to do every single thing we can do. This isn’t going to blow over. This isn’t going to work out. This isn’t going to be corrected by “checks and balances”. This is the moment. This is the time that you figure out the truth about what you’d actually do in an important and dangerous time in history. Not what you tell yourself you would. What you actually will choose to do.
